At Dar Tour and Travels, we strive to offer the most flexible and fair cancellation terms possible. However, because we book hotels, houseboats, and transport in advance to secure your trip, certain cancellation charges apply. All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email or WhatsApp.
Standard Cancellation Charges
30+ Days Before Arrival
If canceled 30 days or more prior to the arrival date, 10% of the total tour cost will be deducted as administrative and processing fees.
15 to 30 Days Before Arrival
If canceled between 15 and 30 days prior to the arrival date, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
7 to 15 Days Before Arrival
If canceled between 7 and 15 days prior to the arrival date, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
Less Than 7 Days / No Show
If canceled within 7 days of arrival or in case of a No-Show, 100% of the total tour cost will be retained (No Refund).
Strictly Non-Refundable Items
Certain services are completely non-refundable once booked, regardless of the cancellation timeline. These include:
- Gulmarg Gondola Tickets (Phase 1 & Phase 2).
- Amarnath Yatra Helicopter Tickets (Baltal or Pahalgam route).
- Domestic or International Flight Tickets (Subject strictly to airline policies).
- Train Tickets and pre-booked specialized adventure activities.
Weather, Snow & Highway Closures
Travel in Kashmir can sometimes be unpredictable due to weather. Please note:
- If the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway is closed due to landslides or heavy snow, and you cannot reach your destination, we will try to adjust your itinerary locally, but no refunds will be provided for unused hotel nights.
- If a flight is cancelled due to bad weather at Srinagar Airport, we will adjust your cab pickup/drop without extra charge, but hotel cancellation policies will depend entirely on the respective hotel's rules.
- In winter, if heavy snow prevents regular vehicles from reaching Gulmarg, clients must hire local 4x4 chained vehicles (Union Cabs) from Tangmarg at their own expense.
Refund Processing Time
Once your cancellation request is approved in writing, the eligible refund amount will be processed back to your original mode of payment (Bank Transfer, UPI, or Card). Please allow 7 to 10 working days for the amount to reflect in your account.
